No. 11-17 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEED TO LAND FOR MUNICIPAL PARK PFRPOSES AND DEDICATING SANE AS A PUBLIC PARK TO BEC0k~E A PART OF "JASTR0 PARK" IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. fol 1 owe: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as WEEAS, H. A. Jastro has presented to the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at deed, duly executed by the Kern County Land Company, a Corporation, signed by Harry L. Tevis and F. G. Drum, President end Secretary, respectively, of said Kern County Land Company, covering its ownership in the following described lands in the City of Bakersfield, to -wit: Beginning at a point on the westerly line of Myrtle Street, distant thereon 264 feet southerly from the corner formed by the inter- section of the said westerly line of Myrtle Street with the southerly line of Eighteenth Street, and running thence southerly along said westerly line of Myrtle Street, a distance of 346.5 feet~ to the north- 'erly line of Truxtun Avenue, thence westerly along the northerly line of Truxtun Avenue, a distance of 264 feet; thence at right angles northerly a distance 346.5 feet; thence at right angles easterly a distance of 264 feet to the point of beginning, according to that certain map, dated March 10th, 1905, entitled, ~Sales Map of the Kern uounty Land Company showing subdivisions of its additions to the City of Bakersfield., Kern County, California,'° which said map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of said Kern County, 'April 19th, 1904; and WIEPOEAS, by the terms of said deed, said Kern County Land Company, conveys said land to the City of Bakersfield, to have and to hold so long as said land shall be used for Municipal Park purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Council does hereby accept said deed for and in behalf of said City, to be used for Munici- pal Park purposes, and that said land be and the same is hereby dedi- cated for a public Park~ 'to be known as, and become a part of Jastro -1 Park, in the City of Bakersfield. The Clerk of this Council is hereby authorized and directed to cause said deed to be filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was passed by the Council of t, he City of Bakersfield, on the 17th day of December, 1917, by the following vote: Council of the City of Bakersfield. APPROVED this 17th day of December, 1917.
