RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEEDS COVERING A
STRIP OF LAND SIXTY FEET ~VIDE EXTENDING FRO~
DRACENA STREET TO PALM STREET, MiDW.~v BETWEEN,
A STREET, AND C STREET, AND DEDICATING SA~
FOR A ~UBLIC STREET.
BE IT'RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
WHEREAS, a petition has been presented to this CoUncil, re-.
questing the opening of a street sixty (60) feet wide, t6 extend
from Dracena Street to Palm Street, parallel to, and midway between
A Street and C Street, in Block 14 of the Chester Tract, in said
City of'Bakersfield, according to a map of said Tract. filed in the
office of the County. Recorder of Kern.,County, California,'Septen~er
16th, 1891, and
WHEREAS, the property ov~ers of the land over which the said
proposed street would ~ass, have ~repared deeds covering' their respec-
tive ownership in said land,' and have presented same to said City of
Bakersfield to be accepted and dedicated for a yrublic street.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that this Council does hereby
accept said deeds, for and in behalf of said City, and do hereby
declare that said strip of land sixty (60) feet wide, and midway
between'A Street and C Street, and extending from DraCena Street to
Palm Street, be and the same is hereby dedicated for a public street.
The Clerk of this Ccuncil.is hereby authorized and directed
to cause said deeds to be filed for record in the office of the County
Recorder of'Kern County, Califcrnia.
