A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF
PERSONS AND THE EXPENDITURE OF MONEY FOR THE ENFORCE-
MENT OF TEE REDLIGHT ABATEMENT ACT, o~ND SUPPRESSION
OF VICE A!~tD I~OHALiTY wITHIN THE CITY OF ~'AKERSFIELD,
AND AUTHORIZING TEE CITY AUDITOR TO DRAW WARRANTS NOT
EXCEEDING ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of
Bakersfield that all proper means b~' employed for the suppression of
vice in'said City°
NOW TEEFOE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFiELD, that the City L~anager be authorized, and he is hereby
authorized to employ such persons and expend such money as he may
deem fit and proper for the purpose of suppressing vice and immorality
and for procuring evidence to be placed before the proper authorities,
for the enforcement of the Redlight Abatement Act, and for the suppress-
ion of vice and immorality within the City of Bakersfield, said expend-
itures tO be approved by the Nayor and the Cit.y Attorney of said City,
and the City Auditor is hereby empowered and directed to draw a warrant
or warrants on the City Treasurer upon the order of said City I,;Ianager,
approved by the Nayor and City Attorney, not to exceed in the aggregate
the sum of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1000.00).
