BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE
ASSESSMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS
WITHIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NOo 749,
IN TITE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
I~fHEREAS, the Council of the City. of Bakersfield did adopt
Resolution of Intention No. 749 for the construction of sidewalks as
follows:
The construction of sidewalks on Lots 17 to 29, inclusive,
Lots 30 to 42, inclusive, Lots 75 to 106, inclusive, of
Tract 1397, and Lots 131 to 140, inclusive, and Lots i to
54, inclusive, Tract 1530, City of Bakersfield, California.
The construction of sidewalks on Lots 55 to 108, inclusive,
of Tract No. 1530, and Lots 43 to 74, inclusive, of Tract
No. 1397, City.of Bakersfield, California.
The construction of sidewalks on Lots 185 to 189, inclusive,
of Tract No. 1530, and'Lots i to 16, inclusive, Tract No.
1397, City of Bakersfield, California.
The construction of sidewalks on. Lots 24 through 33 and
Lots 34 to' 97, inclusive, of Tract 1817, City of Bakers'
field,.Californis, all within Public Improvement District
No. 749; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings had and taken by'said. City
Council under said Resolution of Intention No. 749~ a contract was
entered into by and between TED ALFTER, as cobtractor, and H. BERGEN',"
as Street Superintendent .of said City, for the construction of said
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets prepared, signed and
filed with the City Clerk his assessment. covering the costs and
expenses of the construction of said improvements; and
I~HEHEAS, .notice of the filing of said assessment has been duly
· and regularly given by publication, posting and mailing, as required
.... by law., and-said notice-fixed the -l-gth-d-ay of September, t960~ tat the
hour of eight o'~ctock (8:00) P. Mo, and the chambers of the City
Council, ·located in the City Hall in the Ci~yof Bakersfield, as the
time and place ~hen and where all persons, interested in the work done
or in the assessment, would be heard by the said City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
CALIFORNIA,~DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, FIND'AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
That after a fair and impartial hearing having been'granted to
all persons desiring to be heard in the matter of the said improvement,
described as aforesaid, in Public Improvement District No. 749, and all
objections presented, having been heard and fully considered, and the
City Council being satisfied with the correctne~s and fairness of the
assessment and diagram, it ishereby determined that all.appeals or
objections be overruled and denied and that'the assessment and diagram,
together with the proceedings, be confirmed snd approved and that the
Superintendent of Streets shall forthwith attach a warrant to said
assessment bearing the date of this resolution of the City Council.

HEREBY CERTIFY that·the foregoingResolution was duly passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular'
meeting thereof held on the 26th. day of September, 1960, by the
following vote:
