98-60
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ACKNOvlLEDGING THE RECEIPT
OF A COpy OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCU-
LATE PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRI-
TORY DESIGNATED AS "BRITE NO. 21t, AND AN
AFFIDA VIT OF PUBLICATION THEREOF, AND
'APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF THE PETITION.
WHEREAS, on September 14, 1960, there was filed with the
City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield a copy of Notice of Intention
to Circula'te Petition Relating to 'Anne:x:ation of Certain Territory
to the City of Bakersfield Under the Annexation Act of 1913 pertain-
ing to territory designated as Brite No.2, together with an affidavit
of publication of said notice showing publication thereof on Sep-
tember 9, 1960, in The Bakersfield Californian, a newspaper of general
circulation published in the City of Bakersfle,ld; and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the legis-
lative body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt of the
notice and approving the circulation of the petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield:
1. That the receipt of the notice and affidavit of pUblica-
tion be and the same is hereby acknowledged, and that approval be and
is hereby given for the circulation of the petition for annexation
of that certain territory designated as Brite No.2 twenty-one days
after the publication of said notice.
2.. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the city of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 19th day of September, 1960, by the
following vote:
