RESOLUTION NO.
97-60
RE30I~TION FINDING THAT PROTESTS WERE MADE
BY THE OWNERS OF MORE THAN ONE-HALF OF THE
AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED IN THE MATTER
OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 747.
WHEREAS, by Resolution of Intention No. 747, the';Clounc:ill._'.':,
of the City of Bakersfield (lid fix the 29th day of August, 1960,
at the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber, 1501 Truxtun
Avenue, Bakersfield, California, as the time and place any and all
persons having any objections to the proposed work o~ improvement,
or to the extent of the assessment district, or to the proposed
grades, may appear before the City Council and shoW cause why said
work should not be done, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said hearing, it was
found that written protests were made by the owners of more than
one-half of the area of the property to be assessed for the proposed
improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, that said Council does hereby find and determine that
written protests were made by the owners of more than one-half of
the area of the property to be a,ssessed for the improvement work
contemplated under and by virtue of Resolution of Intention No. 747.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proceedings and work of
improvement contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No. 747,
be and the same are hereby terminated.<

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 6th day of September, 1960, by the
