RESOLUTION NO. 95-60
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING
PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS ~CORONADO NO. l",
PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City
of Bakersfield on the
29th
day of
August
, 1960, requesting
that certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to
and incorporated within the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed.by the owners of not less
than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land in such territory, and
representing not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of
such territory according to the last preceding equalized assessment
roll of the County ~f Kern.
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as
amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
as follows:

That the boandaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed
to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows:
A parcel of ,land situate in the County of Kern, State of
California, and being a portion of Sections 12 and 13, in
Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.M.:
Beginning at the northwest (N. W.) corner of Lot 4, in said
Seotion 13, a point on the southerly line of that public
road of 60 feet in width along the northerly boundary of said
Section 13, commonly known as Planz Road,and as said Lot,
said Sections and said road are shown on the ttKern County
Sales Map No.1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin" filed for record
May 3, 1889, in the office of the County Recorder of said
Kern County; thence easterly along the northerly boundary of
said Lot 4, along a line parallel with and distant 30 feet
- southerly'a.s measure{j-perpendi'cular to.-the northerly-boundary
of said. Section 13, a distance of 250.00 feet; thence
northerlY and parallel with the northerly prolongation of the
westerly boundary of said Lot 4, to intersect the northerly

boundary of said Se ction 13; thence. continuing northerly
parallel with the westerly boundary of the southeast quarter
(So E. 1/4)01' said Section 12, to intersect a line p~rallel
with, distant 1333.711 feet southerly, as measured perpen-
dicular to the northerly boundary of the said southeast
quarter (S,. E. 1/4) of Se ction ,12;, thence westerly along
last named parallel line to intersect the westerly boundary
of the southeast quarter (S. E. 1/4), of said' Section 12;
thence southerly along last named westerly boundary to the
northeast (N. E.) corner of the south half (S. 1/2), of the
south half (S. 1/2), of the southwest quarter(S. W. 1/4), of
said Section 12; thence N. 890 53 t 44"1tl., along the northerly
boundary of the said south half (S. 1/2)~ of the south half
(S. 1/2) , of t~~e southwest quarter (S. Wo 1/4), of Section 12,
a distance of 1655.791 feet to a point; thence S. 00 01 t 52" E.,
a dist,ance of 660.446 feet, to intersect the southerly boundary
of said Section 12, being the center line of said Planz Road;
thence continuing southerly along a line perpendicular to the
southerly boundary of said Section 12, a distance of 30 feet,
to intersect the northerly boundary of Lot 7 in said Section
13; thence easterly along last named northerly boundary and
along the northerly boundary of Lots 6 and 5ih said Section
13, along a line parallel with distant 30 feet southerly as
measured perpendicular to the northerly boundary of said
Section 13, to the northwest (N. W.) corner of said Lot 4, the
point of beginning, containing 33.935 acres of land more or
less.
That a designation. appropriately naming such territory is
"CORONADO NO. In.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that. Monday the
3rd
day of
October
, 1960, at the hour of eight 0' clock Po M., in the
Council Chambers of the Ci ty Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, 'Bakersfield,
California, is the time when and, the place where any person owning
,real propertY,1rl1thin suoh territory so proposed to be annexed' and
having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before
the Council of the City of Bakersfield, and show cause why such
territory should not be annexed.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 29th' da:y of August , 1960,
by the following vote:
