RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA,
AWARDING _ THE CONTRACT FOR __ THE DOING OF
THE WORK IN THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION
OF CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDEWALKS AND PAVING
AND OF THE IMPROVEMENTS ON LAKEVIEW
AVENUE AND THE INTERSECTION OF ALL INTER-
SECTING STREETS BETWEEN. THE NORTH BOUNDARY
OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC ASPHALTO BRANCH
RIGHT-OF-WAY AND THE NORTH LINE OF 10TH
STREET WITHIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 737 IN SAID CITY..

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield did
in open session on the 8th day of August, 1960, publicly open,
examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the
following work in said City, to wit:
The construction of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, curb
and gutter returns, cross gutters in and the widening
and paving of Lakeview Avenue and intersection of all
intersecting streets between the North boundary of
the Southern Pacific Asphalto Branch Right-of-Way
and the North line of lOth Street, and
WHEREAS, all of said bids having been duly considered by
said City Council, and it appearing to the said City Council,
and said City Council hereby finds that the lowest regular
responsible bidder for the doing of said work is
Phoenix Construction Company, Inc.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Bakersfield, that said City Council does hereby reject all
of said proposals or bids except the next herein mentioned and
does hereby award the contract for the doing of said work and
said improvement to the lowest regular responsible bidder, to wit:
Phoenix Construction Company, Inc.
at the prices named in said
bidder's proposal or bid.
That the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfiled is hereby
directed to publish said notice twice in the "Bakersfield

published and circulated in said City of Bakersfield, California,
hereby designated for that purpose by the City Council of the
City of Bakersfield, all in the manner and form provided by law.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
