'71-60 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEAR- ING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "PLANZ PARK N0. 8", PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERSF IELD. WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the 20th day of July, 1960, requesting that certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and incorporated within the City of Bakersfield, and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of all of the territory proposed to be annexed. NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Ac$ of 1939, Chapter 297, as amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of Cali- fornia, and being a portion of the southeast quarter (S.E. 1/4) of Section 7, Township 30 South, Range 28 East, M. D. M.; Beginning at the southeast corner of the northwest quarter (N.W. 1/~), of the southeast quarter (S. E. 1/4), of said Section 7; thence N. 0° 00' 04" W., along the easterly boundary of the northwest quarter (N. W. 1/4), of the southeast quarter (S.E. 1/4) of said Section 7, on and along the corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield as same is defined by that certain annexation designated as Planz Park No. 4, as adoptedAugust 16, 1954, by Ordinance No. 1022, New Series, and which was certified September 16, 1954, by the Secretary of State, State of Cali- fornia, a distance of 258.20 feet; thence southeasterly, and departing from the corporate boundary of said City, along a direct line to the northeast corner of Lot 57, in Tract No. 1878, as said Lot 57 is show~ on the map of Tract No. 1878 recorded October 17, 1956, in Book I9 of Maps, -a~page-~96~ in thee office of 'the County Recorder of said Kern County; thence S. 89° 53' 20" W., along the northerly boundary of said Tract No. 1878, on and along the corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield as defined by that certain annexation designated as White Lane No. 4, as adopted May 20, 1957, by Ordinance No. ll21, New Series, and certified June 21, 1957 by the said Secretary of State, a distance of 165.08 feet to the southeast corner of the northwest quarter (N. W. 1/4), of the southeast quarter (S. E. 1/4), of said Section 7, the point of beginning, and containing 0,489 acres of land more or less. That a designation appropriately naming such territory is "PLANZ PARK N0. 8n. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Monday, the 22rid day of August, 1960, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the place where any person owning real property within'such territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of Bakersfield, and show cause why such territory should not be annexed. o0o I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular meet- ing thereof, held on the 25th day of July, 1960, by the following vote: AYES: .... :TL,_M;, CARNAl(IS, COLLINS, elqeEe;., I]OOLIN, SI'IER~,, NOES' ,I~FA~NZ, ABSENT: "'~' C Clerk and Ex-0fficio Clerk of the Council of the City of Bakersfield. ~ j"] , :'~ ~: .: , 1960 MAYOR of t:~e Cit~:~of Bakersfield.
