'68-60 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERS- FIELD, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VACATIO'N OF A PORTION OF 16TH STREET, A PORTICN OF "0" STREET AND THE ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 308, 309, 330 AND 331, IN SAID CITY.. WHEP~EAS, on the 13th day of June, 1960, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant t0 the previsiOns of the "Street Vaca- tion Act of 1941", being Division 9, part 3, (Sections 8300 Et Seq.) of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of CalifOrnia, passed and ad~pted its Resolution of Intention No, 752, declaringits'inten- tion to order the vacation of a Portion of 16th S~reet, a portion of "0" Street and the alleys in Bl~cks 308, 309, 330 and 331, in the City of Bakersfield, State of California, and .WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time. and place-for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to Said proposed· vacation, which said hearing~ was held on the 5th day of July, -1960, after notices were duly posted as required by law, and " WHEREAS, this Council after'duly Considering the matter, does' hereby find and resolve as follows: 1. That that portion of 16th Street, "0" Street and the alleys in Blocks 308, 309, 330 and 331, Situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, 'State of California, being a portion of Section 30, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M. D. M., more particularly describ- ed as follows, is unnecessary for+present or prospective public street purpose s :- All of that portion of 16th.Street of .82.5 feet in width, bounded.on the west by the northerly prolongation of the westerly boundary of Block 330, and bounded on the east by the northerly prolongation Of the easterly boundary of ..... -.~ Block 331; aloe all that- pertion of "O"~Stree~-o£ in width, bounded en the north by the easterly prelengation of the northerly boundary of Block 309, and .bounded on the' south. By the easterly'prolongation of the southerly boundary of Block 330; also all of that east and west alley e£ 33 feet in width, within Block 309; also all'of that east and west alley of 33 feet in lwidth, within Block 308; also all of that east and west alley of '33 feet In width, within Block 330'; ~also all of that 'east and west alley of 33 feet in width, within Block 331, and as said 'Streets, Alleys and Blocks, are shown on the "Map·Of the City of Bakers- field" filed for re,cord November 25, 1898, in Book I of Maps at pages 13 .and 14, in the ,office of the County Rec orde ~ of Kern County, C ali forni a. 2, That' said portion of 16th Street, "0" Street ~and theI+ alleys in Blocks 308, 309, 330 and 331, in said City, ·be and the ·same are hereby closed up, vacated and 'abandoned for public ·street purposes, subject to and in conformity with'Resolution of Intention No. 752.
