RESOEUTION OF AWARD OF THE CITY CGUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING THE
CONTRACT FOR THE D(~ING OF THE WORK IN THE MATTER~
OF "PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0.7~9" IN SAID
CITY, PURSUANT TO RES(~UTION OF INTENTION ADOPTED ·
BY SAID COUNCIL ON THE 25TH DAY OF APRIL, 1960.
WHEREAS, the City Council 'of the City of Bakersfield, did in
open session on the 6th .day of June, 1960,I publicly open, examine and
declare all sealed preposals or ·bids for doing the following work in
said City, to wit:
The construction of sidewalks on Lots 17 to 29,~
inclusive, Lots 30 to ~2, inclusive.., Lots 75 to
106, inclusive, of Tract 1397, and Lots 131 to
1~0, inclusive, and Lots 1 to 5~,. inclusive, Tract
1530, City of Bakersfield, California..
The construction of sidewalks on Lots 55 to 108,
inclusive, of Tract No. 1530, and Lots 43' to 7~,
inclusive, of Tract 1397, City of·Bakersfield,
Cali forni a.
The construction of sidewalks 'on Lots 185 to I89,
inclusive, of Tract No. 1530, and Lots 1 to 16,
inclusive, Tract No. 1397, City of Bakersfield,
California.
The construction of sidewalks on Lots 24 through'
33 and Lots 34 to 97, inclusive, of Tract 1817,
City of Bakersfield, California.
WHEREAS, all of said bids having been duly considered by said
City Council, and it appearing tothe said City CounCil, ~ and said City
council hereby finds that the lowest regular responsible bidder for
the doing of said. work is Ted Alfter ,. ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Bakersfield, that said City Council does hereby reject all of said
proposals or bids except the next herein ·mentioned and does hereby
award the ~oontract for the doing of Said w~rk ahd"'saiS'i~p~6vement
to the lowest regular responsible bidder, to wit:~

That the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield is hereby
directed ~o publish notice of award of contract twice in the Bakers-
field Caiifornian, a daily newspaper, printed, published and of
general circulation in the City of Bakersfield, California, hereby
designated for that purpose, all 'in' the manner and form provided
by law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing 'Resolution was Passed
.and adopted Wy the Council of the City of Bakersfield' at a regular
meeting thereof, held on the 1Sth day 0f June, 1960, by the follow-
