A RESOLUTION DEC!~RiNG "H" ,STREET BETt~KEE]~
BRUNDAGE LANE AND U. S. HIGHWAY NO. 99 A
MAJOR ARTERIAL AND REQUESTING' THE CALIFORNIA
HIGHWAY COMMISSION TO DESIGNATE SAID "H"
STREET A FEDERAL AID SECONDARY.
~EREAS, "H" Street is a north-south highway extending
between Panama Lane which is Federal Aid Secondary No. 570 and
U. S. Highway No. 99 which is Federal Aid Primary No. 6, and
~TE~S, between Panama Lane and Brundage Lane "H" street
is designated as Federal Aid Secondary No. 882, and
WHER~S, "H" Street between Brundage Lane and U. S. Highway
No. 99 is a' continuation of Federal Aid Secondary No. 882, and
WHEREAS, "H" Street between Brundage Lane and U o S. Highway
No. 99 serves the Cou~_ty area to the south and is a connecting
link with Federal Aid Secondaries Nos. 570 and 575 with Federal
Aid Primary No. 6, and
~HTEREAS, "H" Street is designated a major arterial on the
Proposed Master Streets and Highways Plan of the City of Bakersfield;
NOW, TiTEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield:
That said "H" Street is hereby declared to be a Major
Arterial between Brundage Lane and U. S. Highway No. 99, and
That it be further resolved that the California State Highway
Commission be and it is hereby requested to extend the present
Federal Aid Secondary 882 from Brundage Lane to U. S. Highway No. 99.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 9th day of May, 1960, by the following'
