BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY.
WITHIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "COLLEGE HEIGHTS ·
NO 8" PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE' CITY OF
. BAKERSFIELD ,.
WHEREAS, a petition was ·filed with the Council of t~e City of
Bakersfield on the 16th ·day of· March ,· 1960, .re'questing that.
certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and
incorporated within the City of Bakersfield, and ·
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of all of 'the
territory proposed to be annexed.
· . NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the,
Annexation of-Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as
amended,. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
as follows: -'
That the boundaries of the territory sO p~oposed to be annexed
to the C~ty-0f Bakersfield ape described as f011ow~.:
A parcel. of'land situate in the County of Kern, State~ 0f
California, and being a portion of' the southeast quarter
(S. E. 1/4) of Section 15, Township 29 South, Range 28 East,
M.D.M.;
Beginning at the southwest (S. W.)corner of the northeast',
quarter (N. E. 1/4), of the southeast'quarter (S-~ E. l/S) of
said Section. 15, ~a point on the current corporate. boundary of
the City of .Bakersfield; thence No 0° 04' 08" W., 'along the.
westerly boundary 'of the northeast' quarter (N. ~E. I/~),, of
the southeast quarter (S. E. 1/4), of said Section 15, on and
along said Corporate boundary as same is defined .by that
certain annexation designated as "College? Heights N0.. 2", as
adopted February 24, 1958, by Ordinance No. llT0, New Series,
and whi0h was certified March 26,. 1958, by the Secretary of
State, State of California, a distance· of 149.127.feet, to a
point of 'intersection with a curve, and from Which the radial
· center Of Said curve bears N. 59' 49' 37" E.., 'distant 544.15

boundary of the City of Bakersfield, along said curve concave

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, tha~ Monday, the 2%th day

time when and ·the place where any person owning real. property within
such territory 'so proposed to be annexed 'and having any objections
~to the prOposed annexation may ·appear before the Council of the' City'
