RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT. THE PUBLIC USE,
BENEFIT, SAFETY, ECONOMY AND GENERAL ]~EL-
FARE REQUIRES THE TAKING OF THE WHOLE 0F.
A PARCEL OF LAND FOR THE WIDENING AND'
IMPROVEMENT OF "H" STREET IN THE CITYIOP
BAKERSFIELD.
.WHEREAS, on the 28th day of December, 1959, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield by Resolution No. 92-59~did declare that
the public interest and necessity requires the acquisition of

s feet of certain properties for the wideningand improvement·'
of ".H" Street in 'the City of Bakersfield, and directing the City
Attorney to file action for the acquisition of"said property by
action in eminent domain, and
WHEREAS, since the passage of said resolution, this Council
has found and determined that the taking'of a Portion of a
· certain parcelof land for said improvement would leave the
remainder thereof in such size and condition as to require the
condemnor to pay iE.. compensation for the taking of such part an
amount' equal to the fair and reasonable value of'~ the whole parcel..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council ofthe-City
~of Bakersfield, that in accordance'with the provisions of Section
1266 of the Code of Civil Procedure of the State of California,
.it is deemed necessary for thepublicuse, benefit, safety,
economy and general welfare in connection with the .widening and
improvement of "H" Street, between California Avenue and'Brundage
Lane in said City, that the whole of the following described
property be acquired by said City by.-condemnation:
and the south 29 feet of Lots 66, 67 and 68 of
Hirshffeld Tract, in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of Caiifornia,'as per Map
of said Tract filed March 23, 1892, in Book l,
P~ge 27 of Maps, in the Office of the County
Recorder of said county. ~

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
~meeting thereof held on the 8th day o~ February, 1960, bythe
following vote:
