RESOE~TIONANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE
DISTRICT. (Benton Park No. 4 Annexation)
WHEREAS, the Council of the. City of Bakersfield did, on the
28th day of December, 1959, pass its Resolution of Intention No~ 95-59,
to include certain property within the Greater Bakersfield Separation
of Grade District, and setting the time and place for. hearing objec-
tions to the inclusion of said territory within said District, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention'Was duly andslegally
published once a week for two weeks', the first publication thereof
being at least twenty days prior to the.date of the hearing as provided
by law, and
WHEREAS, Monday, the 1st day of February, 1960, at the hour of
'8:00 o'clock P.M., was set'as the time for hearing Objections to the
inclusionof said territory within said DistriCt, and
WHEREAS, no objection has been filed or presented to said Council
to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof within the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and the Council
further finds that all of said territory' will be benefited by its
inclusion within said District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL~VED AND THE COUNCIL DOES HEREBY FIND:
That no objection to the inclusion of said territory or any part
thereof within the Greater Bakersfield'Separation of Grade District,
has been filed or presented to this Council.
That said territory and every part thereof be, and the same is
hereby', annexed to and included within the said Greater Bakersfield
S~par~tion of ~Grade Distr~qt~upon Com~leti0n~of'~nn~t~on o£.said
territory to the City'of Bakersfield, which said territory is described
as follows:+
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of
California, and being a portion· of. the southwest quarter
(SW 1/4) of Section 12, TownS. hip 30 South, Range 27 East,
M.D.M.:
Beginning at the southeastc0rner of the northeast quarter
(NE 1/4), of the northeast quarter (NE 1/4), of the southwest
quarter (SW 1/4), of said Section 12, a point On the current
corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield; thence westerly
and departing from said corporate boundary, along the southerly
boundary line of the north half (N 1/2), of the north half
(N 1/2), of the said southwest quarter (S W 1/4),, of Section·12
to intersect the westerly boundary line of the east half (E 1/2)
of the northeast quarter (NE 1/4), of the northwest quarter
(NW 1/4), of the said southwest quarter (SW 1/4), of Section 12;
thence northerly along.last named westerly boundary line to
intersect a line parallel with, and distant 30 feet southerly
from, as measured perpendicular to, the northerly boundary line
of the said southwest quarter(SW 1/4), of Secti0n'12; thence
easterly along last named parallel line to intersect the easterly
boundary line of the southwest quarter (SW 1/4), of said Sec-
tion 12; thence southerly along last named easterly boundary
line, on and along the corporate boundary of the City of Bakers-
field, as same is defined by that certain annexation designated
as "Benton Park No 3" as adopted September 8, 1959, by 0rdi-
nance No.' 1259, New Series, and. certified October 13, 1959, ·
by the. Secretary of State,~State of California, to the south-
east corner of the northeast quarter (NE 1/4), of the northeast
quarter (ErE 1/4), of the southwest quarter (SW 1/4), of said
Section 12,· the point of beginning, containing·23.958 acres
of land, more or less. ·

I MEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 1st day of February, 1960, .by the foil'owing vote:
