WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield is petitioning, the ·Board
· of. Supervisors of the County of 'Kern for the annexation to the
City of'Bakersfield, of a parcel of land designated as "Siemon
Park!';'and
WHEREAS, said parcel of land is owned by theCity of
Bakersfield'and will be used for par~ purposes; and
'WHEREAS, said parcel Of land was not,-inCluded within the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of'Grade DistriCt at the"time Of
.the formation of such District; and
WHEREAS,' SeCtion 8290 o~ the 'Government Code of the· State of
California provides that the unincorporated_territory of a county
which was not included within a district a~t/the·time'6f'the formation
of a diStrict~ shall immediately upon such ~nnexation to a city be
included within the district'except such portio~·'ov portions thereof
which the' city council has determined'will not be benefi~ed by
inClusibn in ·the district; and
~.VHEREAS, it is the conclusion of'this .COuncil that said
territory will-·not be benefited by inclusion within· said District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of 'the.City-
of 'Baker~sfield·that.this-Council has determined that~that certain
parcel of land. being annexed to said, city and 'designated' a'S
"Siemon'Park", will not be benefited by inclusion within the Greater
Bakersfield Separation of Grade Disltric~, and that said territory
be not included in said District.
