OF' A COpy OF' NOTICE OF i INTENTION TO CIRCU-:
LATE PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRI-
,TORY DESIGNATED AS GREENE'S TRACT NO.3,
AND AN AFFIDAVIT OIi' PUBLICATION THEREOF ,
AND APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF THE PETITION.

, \\lHEREAS,on December ~, 1959, there was filed with the City
Clerk of the City of Bakersfield a copy of Notice of Intention to
Circulate Petition Relating to Annexation of Certain Territory to the
City a-i-Bakersfield Under the' Annexation Act of 1913 pertaining to
territory designated as Greene's Tract No.3, together with an affi-
davit of 'publication of said notice showing publication thereof on
December 8, 1959, in The Bakersfield Californian, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Bakersfield; and'
WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the legis-
, lative body may adopt a resoluti'on acknowled.ging receipt of the notice
andap.pru~ing, the ~irculation of the petition;
NOl.v, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield:
1. That the receipt of the notice and affidavit of publica-
tion be and the ,same is hereby acknowledged, and that approval be and
is hereby given for the circulation, oftha 'petition for annexation
of that certain territory designated as Greene's Tract Noo 3 'twenty-one
d~ys after the publication of said notice.
,2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
