RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF' THE CiTY OF .
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE, "
ASSESSMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS
ALONG CYPRESS STREET "WITijINPUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 741 IN. SAID,CITY.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Ba}cersfield did adopt
Resolution of Intention No. 741 for ~he construction of sidewalks
'of Portland .cement Concrete along Cypres~ Street front:l,.ng pn Lots 45
to 64,.- inclusive, ~nd Lots 67-86, i:nclusive, of Tract ,1527, all
within Public 'Improvement District No. 741; and
WHEREAS; pursuant to proceedings1+~d and'taken by said C1 ty
Council under said' Resolution of Intention NQ. 74l(,a, c~mtract was
entered into by arid between LARSEN & 'RAwL~NGS, as, contra'?tor, and

H. BERGEN", as Street Superintendent. of said O:l,.ty; for the construction
of said'improvements; and
WHEREAS, the' Superintendent of Streets prepared, signed and
filed with the City Clerk his assessment covering ,the costs and ex-
pEmsesoftheconstruction of said. improovements;and
WHEREAS,' Jlotice of the filing or ,'said assessment has been duly
and regularly given by pUblication, posting and mailing" as required
by law, and saidnoti~e i'ixedthe26th6ay of,6ctober~ 1959, at the
,hour ,of eight o.clock (8;00) P.M.',: a.nd:i the chamb,ers of 't;heClty Council,
located in the' ~ity:Hall in the Ci,ty'oi' Bakersfield, as the time and
place when and where all persons, interested lii the work done or 1n '

or objections be' qverruled and deniedahd ,that the assifssment and
diagramjtogether' with the proceedings , be" confirmed, arid approved and
that the Superintendent of Streets shall forthwith att~ch a warrant
to, said assessment bearing the date of this resolution' of the City
Council.
