RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA,
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE DOING OF
THE WORK IN THE· MATTER OF THE IMPROVEMENT
OF CHESTER AVENUE BETWEEN 4TH STREET AND'
660 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF
TERRACE WAY IN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO, 740 IN SAID CITY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City'of Bakersfield
did.in open session on the l~th day of May, 1959, publicly open,·
examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for·doing the
following work in said City, to wit:
The improvement of Chester Avenue ·between
4th Street and 660 feet South of the Center
Line of Terrace Way,_said improvements to
consist of the following: 'the removal of
the, existing pavement and'reconstructing:
and resurfacing of street; the removal and
replacement of portions of the existing
Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters,
sidewalks and driveways; the removal and
replacement of existing drainage structure;
and,
WHEREAS, all of said bids .having been duly.considered
by said· City Council, and it appearing to the said City Council,
and said City Council hereby finds.that'the lowest regular re-
sponsible bidder for the doing of said work is DICC0, INC..,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by'the City Council of
the City-of Bakersfield that said City Council does hereby'reject
all of said proposals. or bids~except the'next herein.mentioned,
and does hereby'award the contract for the doing of said work
and said,improvement to the lowest regular responsible bidder,
to wit, DICC0, INC., at the prices named'in said bidder's pro-
posal or bid. "

Californian", a daily newspaper or'general'circulation, printed.,
published and circulated in said City of Bakersfield,

Council of the City of Bakersfield, all in'.the manner.and
form provided by law.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
duly passed and adopted by the CityCouncil of the City of
Bakersfield on the 18th day of May, 1959, by the following
vote:
