RESOLUTION ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
IN THE MATTER OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF CHESTER
AVENUE BETWEEN 4TH STREET AND 660 FEET SOUTH
OF TERRACE WAY WITHIN THE PROPOSED PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 740, IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Bakersfield,
California, in compliance with the order of this City Council of
said City, has submitted to this City Council the 'estimate ~of
the cost of, the map of the district to be benefited by, a~d
the plans and specifications for the improvement work and
construction hereinsfter described; and
WHEREAS, after consideration thereof this City Council
desires at this time to adopt and approve the s~id plans and
specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this City Council
of the City of Bakersfield that the plans and specifications as
prepared by the City Engineer of the said City, which were
submitted and filed with the City Clerk of said City on the
16th day of March, , 1959, be and the same are hereby
adopted and approved as and for the plans and specifications for
the following improvement work and construction to be done in the
City of Bakersfield, to wit:.
Theimprovement of CheSter Avenue between 4th'
Street to 660 feet south of the centerline of
Terrace Way, said improvements to consist of the
following: the removal of the existing pavement
and reconstructing and resurfscing of street;
the removal and replacement of portions of the
existing Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters~
sidewalks and driveways; the removal and replace-
ment of existing drainage structure.
That all of the above described work and improvement
shall.be of the sizes and dimensions and done in the manner and
places and to' the grades as shown and indicated on the plans and
specifications herewith adopted.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
duly'passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of,
Bakersfield on the 16th day of March, 1959, by the following vote:
