ROAD WESTERLY TO STATE ROUTE No.4.
WHEREAS:
(1:1) The sta:te of California n01'1 proposes to relocate sta.te
Highway Route No. 58 (u. s. No. 466) westerly from Tower Line Road
and Mueller Road to a point 800 feet west of relocated state High1'lay
Route 4 (u. S. Highway 99); and
(b) The Honorable G. T. McCoy, state Hiehway Engineer, has
heretofore recommended to the CallfornJ.ll highway CioLllllission a
particularly designe.ted route for the reloce'.tion of said portion
of said state Highway Route No. 58; and
(c) The Board of Supervisors of the COLUlty of Kel~ and the
City Oouncil of the City of Bakersfield ha~e conducted an extensive
study of the proposed route of relocation of' 88.1<1 highwa:ys (;I.g so
recommended by said G. T. }icCoJt', together ,.,..ri th a. study of va.rious
alternate proposed relocations of said highway, and in the course of
said study have heard the testimony a.nd e~~ress1ons of opinion of a
substantial 11Ulllber of the citizen~ and property ONllers \1:t thin the
Greater Bakersflelc Metropolitan Area, whl~h said area end its present
economy and future growth and development will 00 directly and sub-
stantially affected by any relocation of said portion of said high-
way; and
(d) In the oourse of said study ~le Board of Supervisors and
this city Counoil considered an aerial photographic map of said
