OF BAKERSFIELD ACKNOWLEDGING THE RECEIPT
OP I COPY OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCU-
LATE PETYTION FOR TEE ANNEXATION OF TERRI-
TORY DESIGNATED AS MING N0.1, AND AN
AFFIDAVIT OF P~BLICATION TEEOF, LND
APPROVING THE C~CULATION OF TEE PETITION.
WHEREAS, on September 2, 1958, there was filed with the
City Clerk of the City of BaEersfield a copy of Notice of Inten-
tion to Circulate Petition Relating to Annexation of Certain Terri-
tory to the City of Bakersfield Under the Annexation Act of 1913
pertaining to territory designated as Ming No. 1, together with an
affidavit of publication of said notice showing publication thereof
on August 28, 1958, in The Bakersfleld Californian, a newspaper of
general circulation ~ublished in the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the legis-
lative body may adopt a ~esolution acknowledging receipt of~ the
notice and approving the circulation of the petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield:
1. That the receipt of the notice and affidavit of publica-
tion be and the same is hereby acknowledged,~ and that approval be and
is hereby given for .the circulation of the petition for annexation of
that certain territory designated as King No. I twenty-one days after
the publication of said notice.

I EREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held en the 2rid day of September, 1958, by the follow-
ing vote a
