RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO
FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT FOR A CITY
MEASURE. ' ..
WHEREAS, an election isto be held in the City of
Bakersfield on November 4, 1958,,at which there will be
submitted to the qualified electors of said city the following
city measure:
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM ENDS:
........ ~all the City of Bakersfield incur a bonded indebted-
ne~ss in the principal sum of $3,750,000 for the pur-
pose.of the acquisition.and construction by said.city
of a certain municipal improvement, to wit:
municipal auditorium and public assembly building
suitable for conventions, tradejshows, sports and
athletic events, exhibitions, musical and dramatical
presentations and group meetings, together with
landscaping and off-street parking facilities therefor
and including the acquisition of all land, furniture~
furnishings, apparatus, equipment and other property
necessary therefor?
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That this Council, being the'legislative
body of the City of Bakersfield, hereby authorizes
William A. Dewire
John Philip Bentley
Don Doolin
members of said body, to file a writYen· argument for the
city measure set forth in the recitals hereof in a~cord-
ance with Article 4, Chapter B, Division 4 of the. Elections
Code of the ~'tate of California and to change said argument
until and including the date fixed by the Clerk after which.
no arguments for or against said city measure may be sub-
mitted to said Clerk.

August, i'958.
