S~SS RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS -OF THE COUNTY OF KERN TO CONSOLIDATE THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BOND ELECTION TOBE HELD NOVEMBER 4, 1958, WITH STATE-. WIDE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON SAME DATE. WHEREAS, this Council'has commenced proceedings for the calling of a bond election in the City of Bakersfield to be held on November 4, 1958, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the City of Bakersfield a certain bond proposition hereinafter in this resolution set forth; and WHEREAS, it is desirable that said bond election be consolidated with the statewide general election to be held on the same date and that within the City of Bakersfield the precincts, polling places and election officers for the two elections be the same, and that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Kern canvass the returns of the city bond election and that said statewide general election and said city bond elec- tion be held-in all respects as if there were only one election; NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City 6f Bakersfield DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: Section 1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Kern be and it is hereby requested to consolidate the bond election to be held in the City of Bakersfield on November 4, .1958, with the .statewide general election to be held on said date. .Section 2. The exact form of the questi. on or proposition to be voted upon at' said bond election aS it shall appear on the ballot is aS follows: CITY OF BAKERSFiELDMUNiCIPAL AUDITORIUM BONDS: Shall the City of Bakersfield incur a bonded in-' debtedness in the principal sum of $3,750,000 for the purpose of the acquisition and construction by' said city of a certain municipal improvement, to wit: a municipal auditorium and public assembly building suitable for conventions, trade shows, sports and athletic events, exhibitions, musical and dramatical presentations and group meetings, together with landscap- ing and off-street parking facili- ties therefor and including the acquisition of all'land, furniture, :. furnishings, apparatus, equipment ': and other property necessary there-: for? : : : : : : : : : : : : : Said proposition.shall be designated on the ballot by a letter printed on the left margin of the square containing the description of the measure, as provided in Section 3831 of the Elections Code of the State of California.
