WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Comm,inity .Theatre, now entering its
thirty-first season, is Dre~iding cultural and recreational opportuni-
ties for hundreds of e~r ~citilems who participate in its presenta-
tions, and
~EAS, this civic theatre organization, by Offering outstand-
ing play productions in cur community, brings 'enjoyment and enrichment
to thousands who attend its presentations, and
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield~' ~mmunity Theatre is a lively and
growing cultural asset which reflects credit on this City and its
resident.
MOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City-of
Bakersfield that this 0euncil does wholeheartedly commend the members
of the Bakersfield.Community'Theatre for their contributions to the
cultural life of this City, and hereby urges Bakersfield citizens. to
support the 1958-59 season membership driveI of the Bakersfield Com-'
mun~ty Theatre.
