A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERS~
FIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS
BY PERSONS OWNING REAL pROPERTY WiTHIN TERRITORY
PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City-
of Bakersfield on the 24th day of July, 1958, requesting that certain
uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and incorporated
within the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners-of all of the
territory proposed to be annexed.
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the Annexa-
tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as amended, BE
IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows:
That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed
to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of
California, and being a portion of the southwest quarter
(S.W.1/4) of Section 15, Township 29 'South, Range 28 East,
M. D. M., which is more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest (S.W.) corner' of said Section
15, and as described in that certain Grant .Deed, recorded
August 7, 1956, in Book 2646 of Official Records, at page
591, in the office of the County Recorder of said Kern
County; thence N. 0° 14' 34" W., a distance of 674.04 feet,
to the southwest (S.W.) corner of the north half (N. 1/2)
"of the south half (S. 1/2), of the southwest quarter (S.W.
1%4) , of said Section 15; thence N. 89° 22' 41" E., along
of
the southerly boundary of the north half (N. 1/2) the
south half (S. 1/2) of the southwest quarter (S. W. 1/4),
of said Section 15, a distance of 55 feet, and to the true
point of beginning; thence continuing N. 89°I 22' 41" E.,
along last named southerly boundary, a distance of 139.71
feet; thence N. 24° 45' 34" E', a distance of 186.77 feet,
to a point on a circular curve, and from which point, the
radial center of said curve bears S. 24° 45' 134" W., distrot
470'feet; thence northwesterly along said curve concave to
the southwest and with a radius of 470 feet, and through
.... a central angle of 12° 43'-04", a._diStanCe of 104.32 feet,
to intersect the corporate boundary of the City of Bakers-
field, and from which iontersection, the radial center of
said curve bears S. 12 02' 30" W., distrot 470 feet; thence
continuing northwesterly along the corporate boundary of
the City of Bakersfield, and as said corporate boundary

is defined by that certain annexation known as' "College
Heights No. S," adopted August 19, 1957, by Ordinance No.
1140, New Series, and certified September 23, 1957, by
the Secretary of State, State of California, on and along
said curve, concave to the southwest, and with a radius
of 470 feet, and through a central angle of 12° 17' 0L~"

a distance of 100.77 feet, to a point of compound' curve-,
and from which the radial center of last named curve bears
S. 0° 1L~' 34" E., distant 470 feet, and the radial center
of the following described curve bears S. 0° 'IL~, 3L~" E.,
distant 20 feet; thence southwesterly along .a circular
curve, concave to the southeast, and with a radius of 20
feet and through a central angle of 90° 00' 00", a distance
of 31.42 feet, to a point of tangency, from which the radial
center of last named curve, bears N. 89° L~5' 26" E., distant
20 feet; thence S. 0° 14' 34" E., and departing from the
'corporate boundary of the City of-Bakersfield, along a line
parallel with, and distant 55 feet easterly from, and as
measured perpendicular to the westerly.boundary, of the
southwest quarter, of said Section 15, a distance of
feet, and to the true point of beginning, containing
acres of land, more orI less.
That a designation .appropriately naming such territory is
"COLLEGE HEIGHTS NO. 4".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that TUesday, the 2nd day of September,
1958,-at the hour of eight o'clock P. M., in the CoUncil Chambers of
the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue', Bakersfield, California, is the
time when and the place where' any person~owning real property within
such territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections+to
the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of
Bakersfield and show cause why such territory should not be annexed.

I HEREBY-CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
'adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 4th day of August, 1958, by the following vote:
