A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL 0F THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELR~ FIXING A TIME AND PI~_CE FOE HEAR-
ING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING RF~n~L PROPERTY
WITHIN TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ~N~vEXED.
WHEREAS, a petition~Wa~s filed with the Council of the City
of Bakersfield on the 3rd day of July, 1958, 'requesting that certain
uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and' incorporated
within the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, said petition Was signed by the owners of all of
the territory proposed to be annexed.
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions. of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as
amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of ~b_e~ City of Bakersfield as
follows:
That the boundaries of the territory se proposed to be aD~exed
to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows:
That certain parcel of land situate in~the County of Kern, State cf
California, and being a portien of fractional Section 7, Tc~rnship
S~uth, Range 28 East, M. D. M., more particularly described as fol-
lows:
Commencing .. at the northeast (N.E.) corner of the S. W. l/L!. cf the
S. E. 1/4 of the S. E. 1/4 of the H. W. 1/~ of said Section 7; thence
westerly along .the northerly bobknda~K Of said S. W. 1/4 of the S. E.
1/4 of the S. E. 1/4 of the N. W. I of said Section 7, a distance
of 30 feet and to the true point cf begir2~ing of tP~s description;
thence continuing westerly along last named northerly boundary, and
westerly alon the northerly bo~-2idary 'of the S. E. 1/4 of the S.W. 1/4
of the S. E. 1~4 of the N. W. 1/4 of said Section 7, tc intersect the
northeasterly right of way boundary line of South Chester Avenue, of
llO feet in width, also known as Co~mty Road No. 1090, as said County
Road No. 1090'was declared a Public Highway May l~, 1939, by the Board'
of Supervisors of said Kern County, and recorded in Minute Book No. 43,
at page 385, minutes. Of said Board of Supervisors; thence southeasterly
along said northeasterly right cf way boundary line of South Chester
Avenue, to intersect the northerly boundary line of the South ~0 foot,
of the North 160 feet, of the S. E. 1/4 of the g. W. l/4 of the S. E.
1/4 .Of tho.N.W.. ~/4 of said Section 7, a point en'.-tho co~porate -
boundary of the City 0fBake~sfield, as said corporate boundary iS
defined by that certain annexation kno~m as Planz Perk No. 3, adopted
by 0rdinanceNo. 1013, New Series,. and certified July 22, 19%~, by
the Secretary ~f State, Stateof California; thence .easterly along
last named. northerly boUndary'line, on and along the corporate bc~3~.dary
of the City~of~Bakers~ield as same is de£ined by said 0~dinance No. 1013,
New Series, andalong'the northerly boundary line of the South 50 feet
of the North 160~feet of the S. W. 1/4 of the S. E. 1/4 of the S. E.1/4
of the N. W. 1/4 of said Section 7, to intersect a line parallel wit~,
and distant 145 feet westerly from as measured perpendicular to, th
easte~ly boun~ary~'of~the S' W. 1/L!'of the S. E. 1/4 of the S. E.. 1/4
of the N.!~ W. 1/4 of ~aid Sec~icn ~; thencs continuing easterly, and
departing from the corporate~®u~da~y of the City of Bakersfield, on

line parallel with, and distant 30 feet westerly from, as measured
perpendicular to, the last named easterly boundary; thence northerly
along last named parallel line to intersect the northerly boundary
of the S. W. 1/4 of the S. E~ 1/4 of the $. E. 1/4 of the ~. W. 17.~
of said Section 7,~ and to the true point of beginning, containing
0.9536 acres of land'Imore or less.
That a designation appropriately na~ing such territory is
"PLANZ PARK N0. 7-"
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tb~t Monday, the 4th day cf. Aug~st,
1958, at the hour of eight o~'oloc~ P~M., in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall, 1501 Truxtmn Avenue, Baksrsfleld, California, is the
time when and the place where any person o~ning real property within
such territory so proposed to be a~nexsd and having any objections
to the proposed annexation may appoar before the Council of the City
of Bakersfield and show cause ~hy such territory should not be a~ns~e~.
