" WHEREAS, the City TreaSUrer of the City of Bakers f~-?ld, by
letter dated February, 7, leSe,:!i' dee, . d .to the Mayor and City·
Council and filed with this Council, has requested authorization to
destroy certain public records designated therein, and
WHER~S, 'the City At%or~ey has given his consent in w~ittng
to such' destruction, and
WHEREAS, such records .have served their purpose and are
no longer' required, 'and h
WHEREAS, it appears that the records which the 0try Treasurer
desires to destroy are more than five years old and of the .type
permitted to be destroyed pursuant to the provisions of Section
34090 of the Government Code of the State of California;
· NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BE~OLVE, D that pursuant to ~he provisions
of Section 34090 of the Government Code of the S~tate of California,
authorization is hereby given to the City Treasurer to destroy the
public records designated in his letter filed with this CouplOll.

I HEREBY OERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution wa~ passed and
adopted by the Council of the City cf Bakersfield at a regular meet-
ing thereof held on the 10th day of February, 19~8, by the following
