WHEREAS. the City Ass.essor, by letter dated January 27,
1958, addressed to the Mayer and City Council and filed with this
Council, has requested .autho.~t.~ation to destroy certain public
records designated therein, and
WHEREAS, the~Ot.ty Attorney has given his consent in ~riting
to such destructt'en',"~and ~
~S,' ~uch records ~ve served their purposes .and are
no longer required; and
WHEREAS. 'it appears that .the records which the City Assessor
desires to destroy are ,more. than fi~'e years old and of the type
permitted to be dest~6~ed ~.ursuant to the provisions Of Sectio~
3~090 of the Government Code of the.State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, .BE IT RE~0LVED that pursuant to the provisions
of Section 34090 of the ':Government Code of the State of California,
authorization is hereby given to the City Assessor to destroy the
public records deathfated in.his letter filed with thi~ Council.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and'
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a ·regular meet-
ing thereof held on the 27thday of January, 1958, by the following
vote:
