WHEREAS, a Census Tract Frogram for the CoUnty of K~rn is
ready for official submission 't'o the Federal'Census Bureau, and
WEREAS, the Council of the City of .Bakersfield recog.nizes
the benefits which will inure to the City· as 'well as to ad.jaCent'
areas in the County by reason of the '~'Stablishment of such census

RE it is the desire of 'this CoUncil to join with and

cooperate in every way possible with 'the'County. of Kern in its effort
to obtain ~he establishment of.'census tracts in this areas"'
NOW, THE'REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the ·Council of the City 0f
Bakersfield that this Council wholeheartedly approves an~ endorses
the Kern county census Tract Program, and hereby urges the'Federal
.Census Bureau to give early'consideration to and approval of said
cenSUs tract program. '
