OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, CON- FIRMING THE ASSESSM~ENT FOR THE CON- STRUCTION OF CURBS AND GUTTERS AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS ON DOLORFS STREET, OWENS STREET, GAGE STREET, ~OBINSON. STREET, BEALE AVENUE. AND· MILLER STREET IN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. ,726, IN SAID CITY ~ , , , , , , , WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield did adopt Resolution of Intention No. 726 for the improvement of Dolores Street, Owens Street, Gage Street, Robinson Street, Beale Avenue and Miller Street in Public Improvement District 726; and WHEREAS, pursuant to proceeding had and taken by said City 'Council under said Resolution of Intention No. 726, a contract ~as entered into by and between MOWCON CO., 'as contractor, and J. HOLFELDER, as Director of Public Works 'of said City, for the construction'of s~id improvements; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works prepared, signed and filed 'with the City Clerk his assessment covering the costs and expenses of the construction of said improvements; and WHEREAS, notice of the filing of said assessment has been duly ~nd regularly given by publication, posting and mailing, as required by law, and said notice fixed the J4~'E~ day of April, 1957, at the hour of eight o'clock (8:00) P. M. and the chambers of the City Council, located in the City Hall in the ·City of Bakersfield, 'as the time and place when and where all persons, interested in the work done or in the assessment, would be heard by the said City Council; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CAv. O Ao DO S IH REBY RESOv,VS, DEEH I S, FIND AND OHOER AS 0n OWS: That after a fair and i~partial hearing having'been granted" to all persons desiring to be heard in the matter of the said improvement, described as aforesaid, in Public Improvement District No. 726, and all objections presented, having been heard and fully considered, and the City Council being satisfied with the correct- ness and fairness of the assessment and diagram, it is hereby deter- mined that all appeals or objections be overruled and denied and that the assessment and diagram, together with the proceedings, be confirmed and approved and that the Director of Public Works shall forthwith~attach a warrant to said assessment bearing the date of this resolution of the City Council. ---o0o I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield, Cali- fornia, on the ~i~ day of April, 1957, by the following vote: AYES: BALFANZ, BENTLEY, CARNAKIS, COLLINS, CROES, DOOLIN, SCHWEITZER.
