RESOLUTION ~l)33{O RESOLUTIOI{ 1{0.-41-56
WHEREAS, on the 16~h'.~ay' of July, 1956, this Council passed
and adopted Resolution No. 41-56, making appropriations for the
government ef the City of Bakersfield for the fiscal year beginning
July 1, 1956 and ending June':~e,: 1957; adopting a budget for said
fiscal yea~; and providing' "for necessary adjustments and transfers
of appropriations within said budget, and.
WHEREAS. Since said date and ~he passage of said Resolution,
the City assumed the eperation and maintenance of the .Bakersfield
Transit System for a specified period ~f time ending March 31, 1957,
making it necessary for .said Council to and it did .amend s~id Reso-
l=tion No..41-56 by the passage of Resolution No. '67-56, wherein
sufficient funds were appropriated and allocated for the maintenance
and operation of said Transit System, and
WHEREAS, on March 19, 1957, the people of the City of Bakers-
field voted for ~he issuance of .bonds to purchase said transit system
and this Council now finds it necessary to provide additional funds
for the maintenance and' operation thereof for the months of
May and June of 1957, or until such time as money i~ available from
the sale of the aforesaid bonds.
NOW, THEREFORE, .BE IT RESOLVED by the council of the City of
Bakersfield, as followsa
1. That said Resolution No. 41-56 be a~nd the same is hereby
amended by adding thereto the following appropriation~
