exempt all property witM. n the limits of the City of Bakersfield,from
county tsaxes levied for structural fire protection of 'areas in the

~EEEAS, ~he 'Cl:ty of Bakersfield has a highly'effiCient fire
department capable of furnishing. fir~-pro~sction to all structures
in the City =..of Bakersfield, and''~
WHEREAS., it has been proposed that tBls Council-petition the
..Beard of Supervisors of the COunty of Kern that all property lying'
within the corporate limits-.of~.~he City of Bakersfiold be exempted.
from the levy-of county taxes for structural fire ~rotection areas
within said .county during the fiscal 'year 19~7,1958.
NOW, .THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by 'the Cou~lciZ of the City of
Bakersfield, that the' City Manager of said city be-and he."is 'hereby
autherized and directed to sign the above mentioned ~etition and cause
the.Same to be presented to the Board of SUpervisors of'..the Cotmty
of Kern'.
