Wki'~..E_~S, the Council of the 0ity of Bakersfield did, on the
22nd day of October, 19%6, pass and adopt Ordinance No. ll08, New
Series, known as the Uniform Local Sales and Use Tax Ordinance, x-~hich,
among other things, imposes a city sales and use tax and provides
for the perfermance by the State Board of Equalization of .all ftn~ctions
incident to the administration, operation and collection of said
sales and use tax, and
WHERE,.S, it is the desire of this Co,3ncil to enter into an
agreement ~;ith the StaGe-Board of "Equalization to perform all functions
incident to the administration and operation of said Ordinance i\To. ll08,
New Series.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL~-rgD by the Council of the 0ity
of Bakersfield, that the Mayor of the City of .Bakersfield' be and he
is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the administration
of local sales and use taxes by the State Board of Equalization of
the State of California, as provided fer by said Ordinance No. ll08,
New Series.
