RESOLUTION OF PROPOSED f~NNBI~iTYON OF UNINHABITED
TERRITORY AND SETTING TIE FOR Y~ARING THEREON.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City of
Bakersfield on the 17th day of August, 1956, requesting that certain
uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and incorporated
within the City of Bakersfield, and'
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of not less
than one-fourth (1/~) of the area of the l~nd in such torrito..v~y, and
representing not less than one-fourth (1/4)'of the assessed value of
such territory according to the last preceding equalized assessment
roll of the County of Kern.
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance ~ith the provisions of the L~nexa-
tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as ~nended,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
to the'City of Bakersfield are described as followsc
That certain parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of
California, being a portion of the N. W. 1/~ of the S. E. 1/4 of Sec-
tion 35, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, M. D. B. & M., and
particularly described as followS~
Beginning at the northeast (N.E.) corner of Tract t573, a point on
the current corporate boundary of ~he City of Bakersfield~ and ~Is
last named northeast (N.E.) corner~is shown on map of said Tract 1573,
recorded September 27, 1950, in the office of 'the County Recorder
of Kern County, in Book 7 of Maps~ at page ll9; thence N. 89° 42'
39" W., along the northerly boundary line of said Tract 1573, the
last named northerl boundary line, zlso being the southerl bo~mdary
line of Tract No. 1~92, as shown on map of said· Tract No. 1E92~
recorded June 27, 1956, in the office of caid County Leoorder, in
Book 9 of Maps, at page 78, and alone tb.s corporate boundary of said
City oflBakersfield, as defined by ~h.zt particular a~nexs~tion desig-
nated as Real Acres, adopted July 3, 1950, undez~ O~dinance No. 880,
New Series, a distance of 330.00 feet, to the southwest ~S.W.)corner
of said Tract No. 1892; thence N. 0° 17~ 21" E., and departing from
the corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield, on and along the
· westerly boundar~ line of, and to the northwest (N.W.) corner, of
said Tract No. I 92, a distance of 660.00 f~et; thence S. 890 42'
39" E., along a northerly boundary line of said Tract No. 1892 and'
continuing along the easterly prolongation thereof a distance of
220.00 feet; thence S. 0~ 17~ 21" ~., pz~allel with the westerly
boundary line of Real Road, tc inte~csct the northerly boundary line
of Greenleaf Court as said Road ~d s~id Cou~t are shown on said
map of Tract No. 1~92, a distance. of 1·35.00 feet; thence S. 89
39" E., along last named northerly bo~ndary line tc intersect the
said westerly boundary line of Real ~oad, and to a 'point on the
corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield, a distance of ll0.00
feet; thence S. 0° 17' 21" W., along the ~ssterly boundary line of
said Real Road, the last!named westerly boundary line also being
an easterly boundary line of said tract No. 1892, and along the
corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield,'as said corporate
boundary is defined by that*particular annexation designated as
Gibson Acres, adopted FebrUary 27, 19%0, under Ordinance No. 863,
New Series, a distance of 525.00 feet, to the southeast (S.E.)
corner of said Tract. No. 1892,1and to the point cf beginning, con-
taining, 4.6~9 acres ef land, more or less.
That a designation appropriately naming such territory is
REAL ACRES N0.2.
BE IT FURTME. R RESOLVE that Monday, the 24th day of September,
1956, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of-the
City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time
when and the place where any person o~rning real property within such
territory so' proposed to be annexed and having 'any objections to the
proposed annexation may appear before the Co~L~cil ~f the City of
Bakersfield and show cause why such territory should not be &~mexed.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the forsgoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at.a regular meeting
thereof held on the 20th day of August, 1956, by the following vote:
