A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAE3?~RSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A POR-
TION '0F THE P~BLIC SERVICE F~SE~T l~ 25TH
STREET,~ BAKERSFIELD, C~IFORNL~.
WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of July, 1956, the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, pursuant to the !provisions of the "Public Service
Easements Vacation Law", being Sections 50430 to 50445, inclusive,
of the Government Code of the State of California, passed and adopted
its Resolution of Intention No. 727, declaring its intention to order
the vacation of 'a portion of the public service easement retained by
that "Resolution of Intention No..617", closi~E a portion of 25th Street,
as said "Resolution of Intention No. 617" ~as passed by the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, on the
8th day of April, 1935, a copy of s~id "Resolution of Intention No 617"
being on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield,
and .,.
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing all
persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation, which
said hearing was held on the 13th day of August, 1956, after notices
were duly published, and posted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter, does
hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That said public service easement hereinafter described,
is unnecessary for present or prospective public use:
Beginning at the intersection formed ~y the easterly line
of Q Street and the southerly line of 25th Street, as said
Streets are. shown on "Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern
County, California", filed in the office of the County Re-
corder of Kern County, November 25, 1898, in Book i of Maps,
at pages 13 and 14; thence easterly along the southerly line
of said 25th Street a distance of 122 feet; thence northerly
and parallel with the easterly line of said Q Street a dis-
tanCe of 152.32 feet to intersect the southwesterly right of
way line of'Golden State Avenue, as said ~.venue was estab-
lished by Decree of Condemnation, had in Case No. 25454.~
in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and
for the County of Kern, a certified copK of which Decree
was recorded January 17, 1933, in Book 51~ page 467, of
Official Records, in the office of said County Recorder~
thence northwesterly alo~ last named southwesterly right
of way line a distance of 60.25 feet, to intersect the
northerly line of said 25th Street; thence westerly along
last named northerly line a distance of 60.83 feet, to
intersect the easterly line of said Q Street; thence
southerly along' the prolongation of the last named easterly
line a distance of 82.50 feet to the point of beginning.
Excepting from the above described parcel of land, a strip
of land, 5 feet in width and 122 feet in length, parallel
with and adjacent to said southerly line of 25th Street.
2. .That said public service easement be and the same is hereby
vacated and abandoned for public service easement purposes, subject to
and in conformity with said Resolution of Intention No..727. Reference
to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage.of this Resolution,
and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by the Clerk under
the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office of the County
corder of the County of Kern, State of California.

I HE~EFZ CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 13th day of August, 1956, by the following vote:
