RESOLUTION OF PROPOSED ~d~NEXATION OF
UNINHABITED TERRITORY ~ND SETTING TR4E
FOR HEARING.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City
of Bakersfield on the 13th day of July, 1956, requesting that certain
uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and included
within the incorporated limits of the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the o~mers of not less
than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land in such territory, and
representing not less than one-fourth (1/tJ of the assesssd value of
such territory according to the last preceding equalized assessment
roll of the.County of Kern.
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the Annexa-
tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939,. Chapter 297, as amended,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as fcllows:
That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be s~exed
to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows:
ship Twenty-nine (29) South, Range Twenty-eight East,
Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, tcgether with a portion of
the East fifty-five (55) feet of the Northeast+ Quarter of
Section Sixteen (~6), Township TWenty-nine (29~ South, Range
Twenty-eight (28) East, Mount Diablo Base ~nd Meridian, all
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Northwest quarter
of Section 15, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, Mount Diablo
Base and Meridian, said point being a corner on the bo,~nds.ry
of the corporate limits of the City of Bakersfield; thence
West along said corporate limits and along the south line of
the Northwest quarter of Section 15, Township 29 South, Range
28 East, Mount Diablo Base a~d Meridian and the South line of
the Northeast quarter of Section 16, to a point distant fifty-
five (55) feet West as measured at right ar~les from the East
line of said Section 16; thence North and parallel to said
East line of Section-1~ a distance of throe-eighth ~3/8~ of
a mile, more or less, to a point in the Southerly line of the
North-half of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter
of said Section 16; thence, leaving said cornorate boundaries
and running East a distance c~ fifty-five (5'5) feet, more or
less, to the Southwest co~ne~ of the North-half of the North-
west quarter of the North~est quarter of said Section 15;
thence continuing East a distsnoe of one-fourth (1/4)
of a mile to the Southeast corner of the North-half of
the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said
Section 15; thence North one-eighth (1/8) of a mile to the
Northeast corner of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest
quarter of said Section 15~ thence East aio the North line
of said' Section 15 a distance of one-half (1~2~ m le to the

Northwest corner of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter of said Section 15; thence South along the West line
of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of said
Section 15 to a point distant three hundred sixty (360) feet
as measured at right angles from the North line of said
Section 15; thence East and parallel to said North line of
Section 15 a distance of one-fourth (1/4) mile to a point
in the East line of said Section 15; thence South along said
East line of said Section 15 to the Southeast corner of the
Northeast quarter of said Section 15; thence West along the
South line of the Northeast quarter of said Section 15 a
distance of one-half (1/2) nile to the Southeast corner of
the Northwest quarter of Section 15, said corner being the
place of beginning of this desdription.
That a designation appropriatsly identifying such tsrritory
is C0rjLF~E CREST SUBDIVISION.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ?~ss~$~, the'~th day of S~pt~.~ 1956,
at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., in the Council Chinbets of the City
Hall, 1501 TruxtunAvenue, Bakersfielc, California, is the time when
and the place where any person owning real property within such terri-
tory so proposed to be annexed and h~v!r~ any objections to the proposed
annexation may appear before the Co,~ncil of the City of Bakersfield
and show cause why such territory.should not be annexed.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoi~g Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof'held on the S0th day of july, 19~6, by the following
vote:
