~FHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield has accepted a quitclaim
deed to a 30-foot easement across two parcels of property facing
on Bank Street in said City, and
WHEREAS, said City of Bakersfield has acquired the necessary
right of way of 8.75 feet in said properties for street improvement
purposes, and desires to quitclaim to the 'o~mers of said properties
any interest it may have in and to said easements thereon not needed
for the purpose of street improvement~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, that the Mayor of ~he City of Bakersfield be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to execute a quitclaim deed to
Pluis L. Willjams and Grace M. Willleans, husband and ~vife, to the
property described as follows:
All of the southerly 30 feet of the westerly ~0 feet of
the easterly 357.87~ feet of. the northerly 1/2 of Block N,
Lowell Addition, as said Lowell Addition is sho~,m on '~Map
of the City of Bakersfield., Kern County, California, "filed
November 25, 1898 in the office of the .Cobmty Recorder of
Kern County, in Book I of Maps, at pages 13 and' 14, except-
ing therefrom all of the southerly 8.7~ feet thereof,
and a quitclaim deed to the Department of Veterans Affairs of the State
of California, to the property described'as follows:
All of the southerly 30 feet. of the'westerly ~0 feet of
the easterly 307.87~ feet of t~e' northerl~ 1/2 of Block
Lowell Addition, as said Lo~vell tddition is shown on

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing R~so!ution was passed
