HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 10-56 RESOLUTION NO.; O - ~q'/~ RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F. BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, . . CONFIRMING. THE ASSESSMENT FOR~THE IMPROVEMENT. OF H STREET BETWEEN. THE CENTER LINE OF GOLDEN STATE AVENUE AND. THE SOUTHWESTERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF THE. SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD IN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT 715 AS PER RESOLUTION OF INTE~F~ION NO. ?15 · AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield did adopt as amended Resolution of Intention No. 715 for the improvement of H Street between the center line of Golden State Avenue and the southwesterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad in Public Improvement District 715; and WHEREAS, pursuant to proceeding had and taken by said City Council under said Resolution of Intention No. 715, a contract was entered into by and between DICC0, INC., as contractor, and J. HOLFELDER, as Director of Public Works of said City, for the construction of said improvements; and WHEHEAS, the Director of Public Works prepared, signed and filed with the City Clerk his assessment covering the costs and expenses of the construction of said improvements; and WHEEEAS, notice of the filing of said assessment has been duly ~nd regularly given by publication, posting and mailing, as required by law, and said notice fixed the 2?th day of February, 1956, at the hour of eight o'clock (8:00) P. M. and the chambers of the City Council, located in the City Hall in the City of Bakersfield, as the time and place when and where all persons, interested in the work done or in the assessment, would be heard by the said City Council; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, FIND AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: That afterda fair and impartial hearing having been granted to all persons desiring to be heard in the matter of the improvement of H Street, described as aforesaid, in ~ublic Improvement District No. 715, and all objections presented, having been heard and fully considered, and the City Council beingsatisfied with the correct- ness and fairness of the assessment and diagram, it is hereby de- termined that all appeals or objections be overruled and denied and that the assessment and diagram,.together'with the Droceedings, be confirmed and approved and that the Director of Public Works shall forthwith attach a warrant to said assessment bearing the date of this resolution of the City Council· I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, on the 27th day of February, 19.56, by the fillowing vote: P, YES: CARNAKIS, COL/iNS, ..~IIiLeS, DOOLI~',~, EVELETH, SCH:;VEITZE,R, SULLIVAN.
