W_T-T~REAS, at the budget 'hearing conducted in 1955, the
Council determined there should be one position of telephone opera-
tot for the Police Department, and
Since the date of approval of said budget, it has 'been found
and determined that the increase in the ~ork load in said Police Depart-
ment requires the services of three telephone operators.
NOW, TNEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield,' that three positions of telephone operator be and they
are hereby established for the Police Department, which shall be allot-
ted tO Account Number 11-450, Law Enforcement and Administration.

and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield.at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 16th day of January, 1956, by the following
