WHEREAS, at the budget ~hearing conducted in 1955, the
Council determined that Account 11-580, setting forth the positions
of poUndman, semi-skilled laborer, and laborer for the maintenance
of the pound, be as follows: one~ poundman, one semi-skilled laborer
and one laborer, and
· WMT~REAS, it is determined by the Council that the minimum
classification for the personnel necessary for the operation and
maintenance of said City pound should be changed in accordance with
the recommendation of the Assistant City Manager on file in the office
of the City Clerk dated'December 29, 1955. "
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, that said classifications be as follows: one poundman
and two semi-skilled laborers, and authorization is hereby+ given to
change said classifications to conform herewith.

I HEREBY CERTIFY·that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 9th day of January, 1956, by the following vote:
