RESOLUTIOI'IO. . 87-55

WHEREAS, 1;lle City of Bakersfield is desirous of purchasing
certain properties in said Cl~,: to be used for off-street parking,
and
Said City has an opportunity of purchasing said properties
from Congregation J!nai Jacob, The Alano Club of Bakersfield, and
Carl Van Wy, and
All of said properties have been duly appraised and the cost
of said properties appears to be and is determined to be the reasonable
value of said properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council ~<)f the 01 ty of
Bakersfield, that the Mayor be and he is hereby auth\..rized to pur-
chase the follow1ngdescribedproperties, and the City Auditor is
hereby authorized to issue and place in escrow with dUly licensed
abstraet or title insurance company, checks of the City of Bakersfield,
payable to, and in the amounts respectively, asfo110ws:
Congregation Btnai Jacob
s. 57.75' of Lot 5 and
. s. 57.75' of the W. 16'
of Lot 6, Block 315, Bak.
$39,375.00
The Alano Club of Bakers- Lots 17 to 19, incl. Block

Carl Van fly Lote 23 to 24, incl. Block

$12,150.00
together with the necessary escrow fees anq/or other costs in connec-
.tton with the purchase of said properties.
