WHEREA:Sl' the Ci t7 ~t }3akersfie1d has heretofore entered into
agreemeJ'l~a with Ji!ohawk~~.J;eum Corporation, C. D. (.now deceased)

and I1aP41 Brown, Cbul.~a s.- a13.~ Matilda Allen, and the First
Christian Church ot B~~er8fi.ld, for the purchase of certain prop-
erties tb,erein describ,d., belonging to said corporation, individuals
and church,respectiv~l,., and
Said City has heretotere obtained options 'for the purchase of
certain pl:'opertles from Broa.ekEstate Company, now known as Brodek
Liquida~lon Trust, McGlatehey Broadcasting Company, Anthony, Nick
and Hikita Antonaros, Lucy F. Herring, Robert T. and Ruby E. Ryerson,
and United Ancient Order of. DrUids Sumner Grove #56, and
City has purchased and paid for certain portions of the afore-
mentioned properties, in accordance with said agreements, and
City noW' desires to purchase and pay for the remaining portions
of the propertiescover.edby s,aid agreements, and to buy the prop-
erties set forthln'.~d options.
HOW" THEREFORE" BE 1'.l', aESOLVED by the Council of the Oi ty of
Bakersfield, that the CitY"~q,itor is 'hereby authorized and directed
to issue and plaee'iDe.cro~ with a duly licensed abstract or title
insurance company,checks".t.tb.e Qlty of Bakersfield, payable to,

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meet-
ing thereof held on the 12th day of December, 1955, by the following
