~'rrc~E...fl.S, the City of Baker~field isde.sirous of leasing
certain territory belonging to said City, for the drilling of oil,
gas and other hydrocarbons; and
Western Gulf Oil Company, a corporation, has submitted an
offer to City for the right to drill and/or explore for oil, gas
and other hydrocarbons on the Sll{ of Section 3 and the Nwi of Sec-
tion 10, both in T. 30 S., R. 28 Eo, M. D. B. & M., v.Thlch said offer
is satisfactory to City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Coun.cil of the City of
Be.kersfield, as fol101-TS:
1. That the Oil a:O,d Gas Lease covering the above-mentioned
terri tory heretofo:r-e submitted to this 'CoUncil by lI!estern G'llf Oil
Company, be and the same is h3r-eby approved subject to the concurrent
approval of Coberl~'~'\llest Com.pan~T.'
2. That upon the conCl.l.rren t appro,ral of Coberly-liTes t Company,
the Mayor of the City of Bakersfield is authorized to execute said
Oil and Gas Lea~3.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the COlm.cil of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
