W~EREAS, .a petition was-filed with· ·thee Council of the City of BakerSfield on. the 19th day of 'May, I19~, requeI4ting that' certain uninhabited territory · therein deSCribed be ann~xed.~to and 'included within the incorporated limits of ·the City of ~B~ker~field, and that said territory be made a part of the BakerSfield City SchOol District, and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of .not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the area .of the' land in such territory, and representing not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of such ter._~itory according 'to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of Kern, · NOW, .THER~EFORE~ in compliance with the prOVisions of the Annexa- tion. of Uninhabited Territory Act ~of i939 .Chapter 297 as amended BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City .0f Bakersfield as follows.' That the boundaries of the ~territory so proposed to be annexed .to the City of Bakersfield and the Bakersfield. That a designation appropriately identifying such territory is PLANZ PARK NO. 6. That said territory shall, upon annexation to the City of Bakers- field, be within and become a part of the Bakersfield City School District, pursuant to Section 2421.5 of the Education Code. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that .Monday, the 28'th day of Sept., 1955, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the Bakersfield Police Department Building, 1620 Truxtun Avenue, Bakers- .field, California, is the time when and the place where any person owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having' any objections to the proposed annexation may .appear before the Council. of the City of Bakersfield and show cause why such terri- tory · shOuld not be·annexed, o0o .... ~-- I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing·Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersffeld at.a.'regular meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of Aug,. 1955, by the following vote: NOES: ABSENT: ..... ..
