RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, .CALIFORNIA,
CONFIRMING THE ASSESSMENT FOR THE
IMPROVEMENT OF F STREET BETWEEN 19TH
STREET AND 24TH STREET IN PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT 709, AS PER RESOLUTION
OF INTENTION NO. 709, AND CONFIRMING
CONTRIBUTION OF SAID CiTY TO THE COST
THEREOF
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield did
on the 14th day of February, 1955, adopt Resolution of Intention
No. 709 for the improvement of F Street between 19th Street
and 24th Street in Public Improvement District 709; and
WHEREAS, .pursuant to proceeding had and taken by said City
Council Under said Resolution of Intention No. 709, a contract was
entered into by and between DICCO, INC., as contractor, and
J. Holfelder, as Director of Public Works of said City, for the
construction of said improvements; and
t~FHEREAS, the Director of Public Works prepared, signed and
filed with the City Clerk on the 22nd day of July, 1955, his
assessment covering the costs and expenses of the construction
of said improvements; and
WHEREAS, notice of the filing of said assessment has been
duly and regularly given by publication, posting and mailing, as
required b~ law, and said notice fixed the 15th day of AUgust,
1955, at the hour of eight o'cloc~ (8:00) P. M. and the chambers
of the City Council, located in the City Hall in the City of
Bakersfield, as the time and place when and where all persons,
interested in the work done or in the assessment, would be heard
by the said O'ityCounciI;"ah~
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL'OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
'CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, FIND AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
That under the terms of said Resolution of Intention No.
709 and the provisions of said contract thereunder a certain
portion of the cost of said improvement work is to be contributed
and paid by the City of Bakersfield from its Special Gas Tax
Street Improvement Fund and it is hereby determined that the
amount to be so contributed and paid is $32,749.14 and that the
same shall accrue and become fixed in said amount upon this date,
August 15, 1955; that City Council of said City does hereby
authorize and order the appropriate officials of said City to
pay said amount to DICC0, INC., forthwith.
That after a fair and impartial hearing having been granted
to all persons desiring to be heard in the matter of the improve-
ment'of F Street between 19th Street and 24th Street in Public
Improvement District No. 709, and all verbal objections presented,
having been heard and fully considered, and the City Council being
satisfied with the correctness ofT the assessment and diagram which
delineates the said contribution ~of the said City, it is hereby
determined that all appeals or objections be overruled and denied
and that the assessment and diagram, together with the proceedings,
be confirmed and approved and that the Director offPublic Works
shall forthwith attach a warrant to said assessment bearing the
date of this resolution of the City Council.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
passed and adopted bythe City Council of the City of Bakersfield,
