A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, ORDERING THE· VACATION OF
A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 529 IN
THE CITY'0F BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA;'
~EREAS, on the 16th day ofMay, 19~, the COuncil of the
City of Bakersfield, pursuant to.the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941" being Division 9 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California;'passed and adopted its Resolution
of Intention No. 717, declaring its-intention to order the vacation
of a portion of the alley in BloCk 529 in the City of Bakersfield,
California, and '.
~'WHEREAS, said Council.did fix'a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting 'to said pr.oposedvacation,
which'said hearing was held on the 6th day of June, 19~, after
notices'were dul'y poste.d'as required by law, .and.
'WHEREAS, this Co~Ancil after duly Considering'the matter,
does hereby ~ind and resolveas follows:
1. That the following described p6rtion of said alley is
'~utnecessaryf0r present or prospective public s~reet purposes:
All of that portion of the alley in Block 529
lying northerly of Golden S-tate Avenue, as Said
Block ~29 is shov.m on that certain map entitled
"'Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County,
· California", filed in the office of the County
Recorder of Kern Cou~ty,'November.2%, 1898, in
M'ap.Book t~ pages 13 and 14o
2'. 'That said portion of:saidalley be and the same is hereby
closed up, vacate~9 and abandoned for public street purposes., subject
to and in conformity with the reservations and exceptlens contained
in and contemplated by Resolution of Intention Nee .7!7. Reference

3. The City Clerk shall'certify.to the passage of this Res.o-
lution and shall cause'a certified copy hereof~ attested by the Clerk
under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office of the
County Recorder of the. County of Kern, California.
HEREBY CERTIFT that the foregoing ReSoiution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City.of Bakersfield, at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 6th ~ay~ of June, 19~, by the.following
