RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE. ·CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION'OF A PUBLIC
SERVICE EASEMENT IN THE ALLEY THROUGH BLOCKS
· 182 and 183, AND· ACROSS WILLIAMS STREET IN
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of May, 1955, the Council of
the City Of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public
Service Easements Vacation Law", being Sections 50430 to 50445,
inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of.California,
passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 716, declaring
its intention ~o order the vacation of a public service easement
in the alley through Blocks 182 and 183, and acrog~ Willisms Street
in the'City of Bakersfield, California, as said easement was
reserved under Resolution of Intention No.o 657, and
WHEREAS, said Council: did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation,'which said hearing was held on the 31st day of May, 1955,
after notices were duly published and posted. as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly COnsidering .the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That said public service easement hereinafter
described is unnecessary for present or prospective public use:
A strip of land ten (10) feet'in'width, said strip
of land being the northerly ten (10) feet of the
following described parcel of land according to the
deed thereof recorded November 17, 1953, in Book No.
2151, page 175, Official Records of Kern County~
Beginning at a point in the westerly line of the
easement, 80 feet in width, granted to the City of
~Bakersfield for a public street by deed recorded
"'~ugUst 20~~ 1948, in
Records and described in Parcel i of said deed,
at its intersection with the center line of said
vacate0 alley, said point of intersection also being
the southeast corner of the parcel of land conveyed
to Harry J. Kane and Georgia Kisbey by deed
recorded September 10, 1947, in BoOk 1446, page
221 of Official Records; thence South 16° 1~"
West, along the westerly line of said street ease-
ment 60 feet; thence westerly parallel with the
.center line of said vacated alley, 120 feet; thence
northerly parallel with the westerly line of said
street easement, 60 feet to the center line of said
vacated alley and the southerly line of the land'so
conveyed toHarry J, Kane, and Georgia Ki'sbey;
thence easterly along said last mentioned line, 120
feet to the point of beginning.
.2. That said public service easement 'be and the ssa~.e
is hereby vacated and abandoned for public Service easement
purposes, subject to and in conformity with said Resolution'of
Intention No. 716. Reference tO said Resolution' of Intention
is hereby made'for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk' shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall 'cause a certified copy thereof, attested by
the Clerk under. the seal of the. City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern. California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,· at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 31st day of May,. 195~, by
