WHEREAS, the Council recently adopted ~a statement of policy
that it would take no action on:changing the existing boundaries
of school districts until both districts had submitted r'esolutions
approving such transfer of annexed areas; and,
WHEREAS,.the Council now wishes to clarify said statement of
polic~ as it affects. new subdivisions; ..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the. Council 0f the~ City of
Bakersfield, that the aforementioned statement ofpolicy shall not
affect new subdivisions but 0n the question of boundaries of school
districts involving new subdivisions, the case Of each subdivision
shall be considered individually by the CounCil on its own merits~
I HEREBY C'ERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed. and
'adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at .a regular' meet-
ing thereof held on the 16thday of May, 1955, by the following. vote:
