RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF
ESTIMATE OF COST, DISTRICT MAP, AND
PLANS AND SPECIFICATION IN THE MATTER
OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF F STREET BETWEEN
19TH STREET AND 2~TH STREET WITHIN THE
PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 709, IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield
has found and determined ~by no iless than 4/Sths vote of all
members thereof that public convenience and necessity require
the doing of the improvement wo!rk and construction hereinafter
described, as said determinatio~ is evidenced by Resolution
No. 1i-55 of this City Council 'of said City; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Article XiII, Section
17 of the Constitution of the State of California and under the
provisions of the "Special Assessment Investigation,' Limitation
and Majority Prote~t Act of 1931", being Division IV of the
Streets and Highways Code of the'State of California, in particu-
lar Section 2804 of said Code, ithe said determination by this'
City CounCil of said City waives the application of the other
prdvisions of the said Special Assessment Investigation~ Limita-'
tion and Majority Protest Act of 1931 in connection with said
proposed improvement work and construction; and
WHEREAS, this City Council of said City contemplates
that said improvement work and construction be instigated under
and in pursuance of an Act of th~ Legislature of the St.ate of
California designated as the "Improvement Act of 1911", as con-
tained in the said Streets and Highways Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT.RESOLVED by the City' Council of
the City Of Bakersfield that the City Engineer of the said. City
be, and he is hereby ordered and directed 'to prepare an estimate
of cost of, map of the district~to be benefited by, and plans
and specifications for the following improvement work and con-
struction to be done in said City of Bakersfield, to wit:
The improvement of F Street between the
center line of 19th Street and the center
line of 24th Street, including the follow-
ing: the widening and resurfacing.of the
existing pavement between 19th Street and
21st Street; the removal of the existing
oiled surfacing between .~lst and '24th Streets
and the widening and repaying of the roadway
with 4 inches of plant-mixed surfacing;
the removal of existing P.C.C. curb, gutter
and sidewalk and the reconstruction to
provide the additional roadway width; the
construction of ad!ditional curb, gutter and
sidewalk; the removal of existing culverts
and their replacement with larger culverts
and the construction of an additional catch
basin, Junction box and pipe connections to
the existing storm. drain in 23rd Street.
That all of the above improvement work and construction
shall be of the sizes and dimensions and done in the manner and
places and to the grades as shown and indicated on the plans and
specifications therefor to be appr0ved and adopted ~y this City
Council of the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly
passed and adopted by the City Council'of the City of Bakersfield
